Creating Budgets for 2010-2011 School Year 1. The new or returning president calls a meeting of the new board. 2. The president appoints a budget committee, to be chaired by the treasurer. (Check your standing rules to see if a budget committee is already specified. If not, the president should appoint one.) 3. The board ratifies the budget committee appointments. 4. The budget committee creates a proposed budget, consulting with the PTA programs committee, school administrators/teachers and parents. 5. The treasurer presents the proposed budget to the board. 6. At the first PTA association meeting in the fall, the treasurer presents the proposed budget for consideration. |
